Prima
Die Casting, Inc. was founded
by owner and current President Raymond Eichh in 1965. Prima’s
tradition of fine tool making has fueled its growth over the
last 37 years.
Production
For more than 30 years Prima has manufactured
most of its tools in house. Our tool, mold and fixture making
starts with the following process: CAD design, CNC programming
and experienced tool makers which are working with the state
of the art equipment including CNC EDM Center and Wire EDM.
(EDM - Electrical Discharge Machining)
Die Casting
Prima's die casting facility was designed
with our customers' needs in mind. We feature Die Cast Work
Cells with complete automation from Strico Holding Furnaces,
extraction with Rimrock Robots to automatic trim operations
using our Reis Trimmats to accommodate the high volume needs
of many of our customers.
We also maintain die cast operations with manual extraction
and trimming to offer customers with smaller volume requirements
the superior products they need at an overall value that fits
into their
budget.
Machining
We are equipped to handle whatever
machining is necessary, from drilling and tapping, boring, grinding
and turning to extensive CNC milling. Our equipment includes
various CNC machines that can be fixtured for a variety of jobs
and custom multi-stations transfer, dial and indexing machine
centers designed to handle high piece part volume projects.
We work with our customers to design and build custom machines
to suit their needs as well as bring their existing machines
in house. The picture at the right, shows a custom 3 Spindle
Vertical Drilling Machine with 8 Station Rotary Table that performs
7 machining operations to produce over a million pieces per
year.
Surface Finishing
Prima offers different finishing options
for its customers to choose. These include vibratory deburring,
shot blasting, painting and plating. The goal is to provide
our customers with a one stop solution for their production
needs. Assembly and sub-assembly capabilities further enhance
the our value to the customer. By consolidating the production
steps to a single supplier our customers benefit with greater
savings, superior service and a single point of contact to address
any issues they may have.
