Corporate

Over the years Batesville Products Inc.  has grown to 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Our two locations cover six acres of ground. We pour 80,000 pounds of aluminum alloy each week.  At BPI the average length of service of our employees is 11 years. We work hard to provide the advantages that ensure success, including extensive training and education. As a result, our employees are among the best-trained, most highly skilled in the industry. We also provide the best tools and equipment in every department, from engineering to production to machining to finishing. Our commitment to customer satisfaction, knack for innovative engineering, and dedication to our craft have earned us leadership status in our industry.

Engineering

Engineering is more than simply designing aluminum castings that meet specifications in a cost-effective way. Engineering is understanding the customer's goals foe a product and the subtleties involved in creating cast aluminum goods and how those subtleties contribute to customer satisfaction.

Casting

Permanent mold casting using gravity provides much more detail than sand casting. Holes can be precisely placed and sized. Overall dimensional stability can be maintained. Machining allowances are smaller because the finished casting is much closer to the final specification. Compared to aluminum sand castings, those done in permanent molds have less shrinkage and lower gas porosity, Compared to die castings, permanent mold aluminum casting is less likely to contain entrapped gas. The result is a denser, stronger, tighter aluminum casting that requires less finishing work. These qualities are consistent throughout the run - up to 150,000 pieces - and regardless of the casting size. Permanent mold cast parts can be as small as a few ounces or as large as 100 pounds or more.

Machining

At BPI we don't look at machining as a separate process. To us, machining as well as engineering, casting, finishing, are all part of the complete process of delivering quality aluminum and zinc castings to our customers. By planning the entire production sequence from the start , and integrating all the operations into one seamless flow, we're able to reduce development time, material waste and final cost .

Finishing

Finishing is the last step in the process, but the first thing that people notice about our cast aluminum products. Maybe it's the satiny luster of textured finish. Maybe it's the brilliant gleam of a highly polished part, a finish that rivals chrome for its beauty but at a much lower cost, and without chrome's environment issues.
